Acting principal of Narxoz University Stanislav Buyansky in an interview for informburo.kz spoke about the tightening of the University's rules in the field of academic honesty.
"For cheating on exams, students will be expelled, for plagiarism - their results will be cancelled and they will not be admitted to the exams. We will be the first University in Kazakhstan that will expel students for cheating on exams, without the right to readmission. We aim to meet high international standards and increase confidence in the Narxoz’s diploma. Even if the average GP will be lower than in many other universities in Kazakhstan, employers will clearly understand that these figures are not drawn, but earned by hard work and the graduate has exactly the qualifications stated in the diploma."
The University has established a compliance service designed to minimize any risks, including corruption. Also, the Narxoz regularly holds meetings of Ethic Committee, which examines all complaints of students about inappropriate behavior of teachers or employees. The results of the University in the fight against corruption has been repeatedly noted by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption at the end of 2019, Narxoz University received the award for academic honesty in the nomination "Akademiyalyk adaldyk ulgysy".
