The Board of Directors of Narxoz University approved the candidacy of Kanat Kozhakhmet as President of Narxoz University from June 1, 2024 due to the completion of the current president’s employment contract. Miras Daulenov’s work and the university team under his leadership was highly appreciated. The new head will have to ensure continuity in the management of the university and focus on further improving academic quality and developing the university’s research activities.
Kanat Kozhakhmet has significant experience in leading Kazakhstani universities, both in the teaching and scientific fields, and in managerial positions. He was the first provost of Narxoz University in 2021-2022, he also participated in the opening of the School of Digital Technologies and in the structural reorganization of the university. He held the position of Provost of Suleyman Demirel University (2017-2019), and Astana IT University (2019-2020). He holds a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and management.
