Narxoz University was included in the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2024. Earlier, Narxoz passed the QS audit and became the 111th university in the world with “4 stars” and received a maximum rating of “5 stars” for quality of education, inclusive environment, employment and career opportunities of graduates, which put the university on a par with such 5-star universities as Central Queensland University (Australia) and Loughborough University (UK). Now Narxoz is included in the ranking of the best universities in the world.
Every year, almost 3,000 universities from 21,000 higher education institutions around the world are assessed by the international rating agency QS, and this time Narxoz was included in the list of candidates. The university was evaluated based on such criteria as academic reputation, reputation among employers, the ratio of students and teachers, citation per teacher publication, the number of foreign students and teachers, as well as international research collaborations, quality of graduate employment and sustainability of the university.

“The inclusion of Narxoz University in QS World University Rankings 2024 reaffirms that Narxoz is on the path towards academic excellence and high reputation. During the evaluation, the QS rating agency used the results of survey of academic partners of Narxoz, the opinion of employers and graduates, data from international scientometric systems such as Scopus. In particular, Narxoz scored highly on intensity and quality of scientific publications. As a result, the university entered the top 3 universities in the country in terms of publication activity.
Moreover, in terms of the quality of employment of graduates, the university scored 4.6 points with a global average of 4.3 points, which allowed it to take the 7th place in the ranking among Kazakhstani universities. This once again confirms the high reputation of the university in the opinion of employers, which was also noted in the rating of NCE “Atameken”.
In the QS World University Rankings 2024, the University was placed at 1201-1400, in the same range as Nagoya Institute of Technology (Japan), Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (China), California Polytechnic State University (USA) and Central Michigan University (USA).
Participation in international rankings is one of the key directions of strategic development of the University. Thus, recently the high quality of education of Narxoz was noted in the rating of another British publication – Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2023, which placed University at 601-800 in the world along with such universities as University of Helsinki (Finland) and the University of Ottawa (Canada).
Since 2007, The Verny Capital Group of Companies has been engaged in the system transformation of Narxoz University, paying special attention to improving academic quality and renewal of infrastructure. This is part of the group’s social investment program. The University is a non-profit organization, with all proceeds reinvested into further development of the university.
