Statement on BTA Bank case in the English Court

This claim was initially filed by BTA Bank JSC against Mukhtar Ablyazov and Ilyas Khrapunov in 2015. In accordance with subsequent extension to the list of defendants, Bulat Utemuratov and a number of persons belonging to his business structure were included in the list in November 2020. The claim was based on the false documents provided by BTA Bank JSC and its lawyers, and it will be defended shortly. Currently, Bulat Utemuratov is in the city of Nur-Sultan and continues his work with a focus on public activities.
