Today there was a presentation of the business center Talan Towers, the owner and investor of which is Verny Capital Group. Talan Towers, , are to be the first multifunctional complex of premium class in Kazakhstan, built up in accordance with the standards of green LEED construction. Total volume of investments in the project – over 300 million dollars.
Construction of the complex Talan Towers started in June, 2013. The complex consists of two towers of different height, one of which will comprise the class “A” business center. Talan Towers will meet Class “A” requirements in all respects, including in respect of location (the business center is located in the heart of the left bank with the view of Baiterek), design solutions, engineering systems, available parking spaces and other features.
Erlan Ospanov, the CEO of Verny Capital Group of Companies, stated: “Talan Towers is an important project for Verny Capital. We set a goal to build a building that would fully meet the up-to-date requirements for commercial real estate – without any whatsoever concessions. It will be a real business center of class “A” – the first in Astana, meeting the advanced requirements in the field of green construction. We want to build a business center similar to the office buildings in New York, London or Singapore by the level of comfort and quality.”
The building was designed by the architects of SOM Company (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP), one of the world’s leading companies in the field of architecture, urban planning, engineering and interior design. The project developer is Astana Property Management Company, a member of Verny Capital group of companies.
Aidar Utkelov, Director of Astana Property Management, said: “Talan Towers is not just another project among many projects in the capital. It is really innovative, multifunctional complex of international level, the fact of the creation thereof itself suggests that the property market of Astana has moved to a radically new quality level. The complex will host the first luxury five-star hotel The Ritz Carlton in the capital, the first lux shopping mall, the first real A-class business center. In addition, we hope the project will be the first green construction in Astana, certified under LEED standards. This is only a part of its benefits, but even now we can safely say Talan Towers is a breakthrough, landmark project that sets a new trend in the market of premium real estate”.
Talan Towers will be “green” office building, that is the building constructed in accordance with the environmental protection principles, using energy-saving technologies conforming to LEED.
Kseniya Agapova, the Deputy Director for Environmental Innovation of JLL, stressed: “For our company, as a partner of this project on introduction of green technologies and preparation for certification under LEED standards, an important aspect is that the Kazakhstan market is ready for such innovations. Since green real estate globally is one of the main trends, the emergence of such “first fruit” as Talan Towers once again emphasizes that in Kazakhstan, as well as on the CIS territory, the importance of environmental aspects in the construction is growing steadily. In fact the construction of such projects is not only a reduction in the adverse impact on the environment within the process of construction, but also the creation of such space where it is much easier to build a sustainable, environmentally friendly, “healthy-in-all-respects” business”.
Construction of the business center is to be completed in 2015 and the entire complex Talan Towers – in 2016.
