Verny Capital Announces the Sale of Burger King Kazakhstan

Verny Capital informs of the sale of the exclusive Burger King Kazakhstan franchise, which the Group has co-owned with it partner, Anuar Utemuratov, since 2012.

Under the leadership of Anuar Utemuratov, who founded Burger King Kazakhstan and served as CEO during the period of its rapid expansion, the franchise achieved remarkable success. Over the past 12 years, the company has opened 55 restaurants in 14 cities across Kazakhstan.  During this time, it has demonstrated impressive financial growth, significantly increasing revenue and turnover, thereby making a substantial contribution to the country’s economy. The company has paid approximately 7.5 billion tenge in taxes and created over 1,100 jobs. Additionally, Burger King Kazakhstan has consistently invested in employee training and development in line with best world practices.

“Thanks to our joint efforts with Verny Capital Group and our partners, we have built a successful and sustainable restaurant network in Kazakhstan. We are proud of our achievements and confident in the franchise’s continued growth under its new owner, Holten Group, a company with a strong track record of investment in various projects across the region,” said Anuar Utemuratov.

The buyer of the Burger King Kazakhstan franchise is Holten Group. Holten Group is a diversified investment group investing and managing fast-growing businesses in the rapidly developing Central Asian markets.
